Save the Date! Registration will open soon.

Visit two important and very different gardens located in southeastern Sonoma County for the CGLHS Spring fundraiser.

We'll begin the day at the Sonoma Botanical Garden (formerly known as Quarryhill) with a talk followed by a walk around the garden. The garden contains an exceptional collection of rare plants grown from seeds from Asia and has been expanded to include a native plant garden.

The Sonoma Botanical Garden is located on a hilly site. It is possible to enter and exit the garden along a gently sloping path, but in the garden some areas are only accessible via hillside paths. Those with mobility challenges may find this garden challenging.

After enjoying a boxed lunch in the garden, we'll proceed to the iconic Donnell Garden. Completed in 1948, this landscape quickly became famous for the dynamic shape of its pool and integration into the appearance of the wider landscape. There is more to this garden than the photogenic pool.

This private property is still held by the Donnell family and this is a rare opportunity to see the garden.

10:00 - Meet at the Sonoma Botanical Garden for our orientation and introduction. (The garden opens at 10:00)

12:30 - Box lunches will be served at the garden

2:00 - Return to our meeting point. Iced coffee and tea will be available. Depart for the Donnell Garden. (40+ minutes to travel)

3:00 - Gather at the Donnell Garden. After an introduction we'll enjoy the garden, along with wine and treats

    5:00 – Event ends
