At last! The California Garden & Landscape Society will hold its long-awaited conference, "The Los Angeles River: Past, Present, and Future," on October 14-16, 2022.

Mark your calendars and let us take you to the river this October to reveal its memories, stories, and plans for the 21st century. Operations will be based out of the boutique hotel, The Garland in North Hollywood. 

Speakers and tour leaders will include, among others:

Joe Edmiston, Executive Director of the Santa Monica Mountains Conservancy

Glen Creason, Archivist at the Los Angeles Central Library (retired); author of Los Angeles in Maps 

Joe Linton of "Creek Freaks" and "Streetsblog LA;" author of the guidebook, Down by the Los Angeles River 

Dennis Washburn, advocate for the Santa Monica Mountains and Las Virgenes Forest and founding mayor of Calabasas and the Los Angeles Conservancy and FoLAR (Friends of the Los Angeles River)
