Join us on Saturday, January 31 at 11AM for a walking tour focusing on Lawrence Halprin's Embarcadero Plaza and the Vaillancourt Fountain designed by artist Armand Vaillancourt. Landscape architects Petra Marar and Andrew Sullivan will talk about the context and design of the Market Street Cultural Landscape District and the plaza. This free event is a chance to gather and experience the plaza and its landmark fountain in the face of their removal by the city. Meet in Harry Bridges Plaza behind the northbound F Market streetcar stop on the Embarcadero, opposite the Ferry Building. Registration is not required.
